Mammoth Mountain Snow Report Dec. 24, 2010

This is the Mammoth Mountain Snow Report prepared for Mammoth Ski Club members. This morning we are between storms. The top of Mammoth Mountian Ski Resort opened yesterday and should be open today. It is 22 degrees F this morning with winds on chair 1 averaging 15-20 mph which is pretty low.

The roads are better than yesterday with chain requirements at the turnoff on 395 to Mammoth Lakes. The National Weather Service says it will be windier today with partial cloudiness. Mammoth Mountain has dug out from the epic dump and has the entire resort open which will spread out the Holiday crowds.

For powder skiing, hit the trees. Then Mammoth Mountians terrific grooming team has been working all night to make it nice and smooth out on the ski runs. More snow is predicted on Sunday so today and tomorrow are the good days if you don’t like to ski in a storm.

Mammoth Mountain Ski Area has more snow than any other ski resort. Get up here and make some turns, OK? See You On the Slopes!
