First Snow on Mt. Tom, and Lake Sabrina Thundershower

Lake Sabrina thunderstorm builds.

There’s new snow on top of Mt. Tom outside of Bishop for the first
time this season. And I went up to Lake Sabrina for a break only to be caught
in a thundershower. Here’s how it looked with Lake Sabrina full to the top.

The Aspens will be changing color in about 2-3 weeks, so be sure
to come and see the fall colors. The eastern Sierra has numerous large groves
of aspens that make the fall colors really pretty. I recommend the South Fork
of Bishop Creek, near North Lake, and around Convict Lake for easy access to
the fall colors.

I’ll be posting photos of the Fall colors so if you can’t make it,
you can still enjoy the beauty of Fall in the eastern Sierra.
