Mammoth Mountain Ski Report November 22, 2011 for Mammoth Ski Club-Opening Up More!

I got to the bottom of chair 2 at 8:20 this morning, and could see that the chair was already running. So I parked, and got on the mountain. Here’s what it looked like at 8:30:

Mammoth Mountain's Stump Alley Express quad chair opened bright and early today 2 days ahead of schedule.

I skied from 8:30 to Noon, and it was really fun, light winds and mild temperatures in the mid 40’s when I finished. Cornice also opened 2 days ahead of schedule today. Here’s a shot of Corndrop:

Cornice and Dropout Chutes are filling in nicely. Cornice had good coverage.

Climax is not yet ready to ski, but here’s how it is filling in:

Mammoth Mountain's Climax still has some large boulders showing.

With the additional terrain and chairs open today, it really spread the crowd out. I didn’t stand in much of a line all day. Most chairs, I skied right into. Mammoth Mountain is gearing up to open Canyon Lodge on Thanksgiving, and November 25th is the Mammoth Mountain Christmas Tree lighting ceremony.

You can still join Mammoth Ski Club for only $1 in November, and join us skiing this Sat, Sun, and Mon, November 26-28th at beautiful Mammoth Mountain. Go to www.MammothSkiClub.com, and opt in to the Free Mammoth Mountain Season Pass drawing. Then you will receive all the details on Mammoth Ski Club membership, and the orange button with the $1 Test-Drive for November membership. I Look Forward to Seeing You There!
