Mammoth Mountain Ski Report for January 17, 2012 for Mammoth Ski Club – PRAYERS ANSWERED!!

Mammoth Mountain’s snow drought appears to be ending this week. Snow is forecast for this Weds – Sunday. Remember, there is no snow base on the closed runs now so you should not go there until after the 2nd storm in about a week or you are likely to go through and hit rocks. I’ve already seen 2 people injured this way this year.

Mammoth Ski Club’s January meeting was rescheduled to January 28-30, so odds are the snow will be excellent by then. Weather is fickle though, so I’ll keep you updated in the next few days as to how much snow Mammoth gets, and the current Mammoth ski conditions.

Our prayers have been answered that Mother Nature would deliver snow to Mammoth Lakes and Mammoth Mountain. Stay tuned, and I’ll see you on the slopes!
